Ashgold have been demoted to the Division two after been found guilty of match manipulation in their 2021 Ghana premier league match day 34 against Inter Allies FC at Obuasi.

The game ended 7:0 in favor of Ashgold.

In the stir of the game,a logical evidence appeared on the internet indicating that, the match was fixed.

After investigation onto the acts of misconduct,the GFA prosecutor charged Ashgold SC on three counts of misconduct for breaching Article 34(5)(a), Article 34 (6)(d) of the GFA premier league Regulations,2019Article 18(1) of the GFA Disciplinary code 2019.

A fine of GHC 100,000.00 is also obtrude on the club in accordance with Article 6(1) and Article 6(4) of the GFA Disciplinary code 2019.
